Georgette W. Fournet passed away at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital in Bogalusa on Friday, May 24, 2019, at the age of 81. She was born in Bogalusa on March 23, 1938.

She is survived by her siblings, Dewey “Sluggo” Wheat of Covington, William H. Wheat of Knob Noster, Mo., and Minnie Faye Wheat Parker of Mendenhall, Miss.; a grandson, Travis Pace of Bogalusa; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert Wheat and Willie Mae Miller; husband, Daniel E. Fournet Sr.; a son, Daniel E. Fournet Jr.; and her daughters, Olivia Ovette Pace and Wilma Diane Bennett.

Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of her arrangements. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
