Mt. Hermon’s Hughes is a 1st-team player

Mt. Hermon School had one first-team all-district member for the 2018-19 season.
Kalei Hughes is a first-team all-district player this season. The Lady Jackets also had one second-team player — Sikoya Jackson.
Two Lady Jackets are all-district honorable-mention players in Macey Applegate and Bailey Fortenberry.
This season, Mt. Hermon made the playoffs 23rd-seeded team, but lost to 10th-seeded and quarterfinalist Hathaway, 81-33.
Holden’s Jaycee Hughes is the league’s Most Valuable Player.
Holden was the sixth-seeded team in the playoffs. They reached the quarterfinals before being defeated by third-seeded and semifinalist Fairview, 58-45.
In addition to Kalei Hughes and Jaycee Hughes, the rest of the first team players are Maurepas KK Vicknair, Kenner Discovery Health Science’s Isabella April and Holden’s Taylor Forbes.
Besides Jackson, the rest of the second-team players are Holden teammates Emma Hutchinson and Camile Cornish, Kenner Discovery’s Najah Nicholas and Maurepas’ Keegan Marchand.
Besides Applegate and Fortenberry, the rest of the all-district honorable-mention players are Maurepas teammates Emma Gautreau, Sarah Crawford and McKenna Lessard, Holden teammates Madeline Richardson and Cambree Courtney and Kenner Discovery LeAnn James.
Maurepas was the 22nd-seeded team, but lost to No. 11 and regionalist round team Lacassine, 54-48.
Kenner Discovery was the No. 24 team, but lost to ninth-seeded and semifinalist Zwolle, 65-32.
