Ben’s Ford Christian School’s Bailey Stewart is going to the Class AA Overall Meet, after qualifying Saturday at Silliman Institute.
Stewart made it to state after taking fourth in the 800 meters. She ran the race in 2 minutes, 49 seconds. Glenbrook School’s Lauren Still won in 2:41.
Saturday’s meet was a qualifier. The top four finishers from each event made it to the Class AA Overall Meet. That event will take place Saturday at Jackson Prep.
Glenbrook School won the team competition with 87 points, as nine teams posted at least one point.
Centreville Academy was second with 69 points, Amite School Center and Clinton Christian Academy tied for third with 40 each, and Prentiss Christian School rounded out the top five with 16 points. Ben’s Ford tallied two points to finish ninth in the meet.
