Billy Ray Harriel

Mr. Billy Ray Harriel departed this life on Sunday, April 7, 2019, at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital in Bogalusa, at the age of 68. He was born to the late Mary Jenkins Carson and James E. Harriel on March 14, 1951, in Bogalusa.

Billy was a graduate of Bogalusa High School Class of 1970 and also served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. National Guard.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday April 13, 2019, at the chapel of Crain & Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa, at 11 a.m.

He leaves to mourn his passing: one son, Billy J. (Cornelia) Harriel of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, Nevel Carson Jr. of Bogalusa; three sisters, Barbara Harriel Morgan, Marilyn Carson (Robert L.) Hicks and Mary Nell Carson, all of Bogalusa.

He was once married to Williestine Harriel of Atlanta, and is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jenkins Carson; his father, James E. Harriel; and step-father, Nevel Carson Sr.
