God looked around his garden, and found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth, and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you, and lifted you to rest; God’s garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best.

Debra Ann Dillon died, March 25, 2019, at her home, surrounded by her loving and caring family.

Debra was born to the late Viola Brumfield and Robert Dillon Sr. on June 8, 1956. She was the baby girl of the family. She was a great mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Debra enjoyed life to the fullest. Debra was a people’s person and didn’t mind helping others. She was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing fried chicken and collard greens for her family and friends, especially over the holidays. Debra loved her family and she loved talking about her three handsome sons and her grandchildren.

Debra Ann leaves to mourn her death: three sons, Cory (Angela Chanquan) Dillon of Gulfport, Miss., LaShay (Elnora) Dillon of Baton Rouge, and Jason (Nikki) Dillon of Baton Rouge; three sisters, Alyne Spikes, Alice Dillon, and Martha Dillon, all of Franklinton; six grandchildren, Ieiesha, Malik, Markell, Deja, Haiven Grace, and Rylen; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Debra Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Viola Brumfield and Robert Dillon; two sisters, Catherine Brumfield and Hynither Dyson; and her brother, Robert Dillon Jr.

Visitation was Friday, March 29, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton.

Funeral services will be at Sweet Rest Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, March 30, at 1 p.m., with Pastor Norwert Hills Jr. officiating.
