Richard Ray “Little Rick” Williamson Jr., 35, a resident of Varnado, received his wings March 11, 2019 after battling cancer.
He was born to the late Richard Ray “Rickey” Williamson “Creel” and Delores Diane Williamson Sanders, on Dec. 5, 1983. If you knew him, you would know he loved big and was thoughtful of others. His passion was fishing, camping and nature. He loved the outdoors. His work was his service to others. He was a jack of all trades. He loved piddling with cars and bicycles. He did all types of construction.
Leaving to cherish his memory are: his mother, Delores Diane Williamson Sanders and stepfather Mike Sanders; one daughter, Mattiana Danielle Williamson; one brother, Jermey Ray Williamson; niece, Kaylee Williamson Seal “Jordon,” Gabriellah Williamson, “friend” Coby Nettles; nephews, Little Jermey Ray Williamson and Nicloes Diaz; great-niece, Shailynn “Bug” Williamson Seal; great-nephew, Karyson Lee Seal; uncle, Arthur Ray Rester; cousin, Tiffany Rester; aunt, Tammy Rester Creel; cousin, Kelly Creel Thomas, Sabrina Creel Vacari; special cousin, Little sis April Sumrall; grandparents, Jerry (Nedrey) Creel, Edwina Thomas Burch; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends; and cousins, Teasha Ritchie Lee, Clifton Ritchie, Victoria Jordon and Chelsey Jordon.
He is preceded in death by his father, Richard “Ricky” Ray Williamson Creel; aunt, Vicki Williamson Jordon; cousin, Brandon Rester; paternal grandparents, Thomas Arthur Rester and Virgie Davis Rester Hand; great-grandparents, Lawson Davis and Ina Mae Michell Davis; maternal grandparents, Archary Alexandra and Nancy Jane Rester; and great-grandparents, Ruby Thomas Miller and Juwet Thomas.
Pallbearers are Jeremy Ray Williamson, Little Jeremy Williamson, Nicholas Diaz, Little Tim Thomas, Ray Head and Hebert Penton. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Sanders, Arthur Ray Rester, Greg “Leroy” Dunway Crain, Vernon Corken and Billy Thomas.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 17, from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. for family, and from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. for family and friends.
Service will be Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Larry Lassley officiating.
Brown-McGehee Funeral Home of Bogalusa is in charge of arrangements.
