James Larry Amacker, a long-time resident of Crossroads, Miss., passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019, at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital in Bogalusa, at the age of 81. He was born on Aug. 31, 1937 in Poplarville, Miss.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Linda Amacker; his three sons, James Larry (Amy) Amacker Jr. of Birmingham, Ala., Kevin George Glidewell of Terrytown, and Kelly Patrick (Judy) Glidewell of Terrytown; and two brothers, Robert Amacker and Gerald Amacker, both of Marietta, Ga. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James “Red” and Lula Belle Amacker; and his sister, Charlene Travis.

Mr. Amacker’s arrangements have been entrusted to Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home and Crematory in Bogalusa. There will be a memorial service held at a later date.
