Bogalusa’s Clydeterrious Thompson had a day to remember last Saturday at the Indoor State Track Meet at LSU.
The junior captured the state championship in the Division II long jump at 21 feet, 10.75 inches.
But he wasn’t done.
Thompson added a pair of runner-up finishes to his day on the track in the 60 meters and 400 meters.
He ran the 60 in 6.97 seconds, finishing just 0.07 seconds out of first place.
Thompson clocked a 50.96 in the 400, which was only 0.23 seconds from the top spot.
Bogalusa’s team tied Northwest for second place in the team competition.
It was a great day all of the way around.
Congratulations to Thompson on his state title and two second-place finishes, and to Bogalusa’s team on taking second.
