On Dec. 14, 2018, J.W. “Dub” Magee departed his life on this earth and went to be with the Lord.

He leaves to mourn: his children, David Williams of Angola, Renette Magee (Bobby) Bridges of Jayess, Miss., Timmy Magee, Steven Magee, Jimmy Magee and Mark Magee, all of Franklinton, Marie Magee (Alex) Weary of Tylertown, Miss., Daphne (Kendrick) Laurant and Monica Williams, both of Franklinton; one brother, Ozziemo (Rhonda) Magee of Picayune, Miss.; three sisters, Dreace Magee, Hilda Magee Brumfield, and Sylvia Magee, all of Franklinton; 28 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Orea Magee and Leamon Magee; three brothers, Willard Magee, Emerson Magee and Millard “Billy” Magee; and two sisters, Helen Magee and Lucine Robertson.

Visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 22, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. followed by a funeral service for 1 p.m. at New Jerusalem Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Causey, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery.
