Wynetta Temples

Wynetta Gerald Temples, 65, a resident of Pine, died at 12:33 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018, at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and had recently retired after a career at Riverside Medical Center that spanned 42 years of service to her community.
Wynetta was a longtime member of Pine Missionary Baptist Church. She was always a caretaker at heart and had devoted time to the care of her late husband and family. Wynetta loved watching her grandsons play the sports they enjoyed.
She is survived by: son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Anna Temples of Pine; daughter and son-in-law, Christie and John Bourgeois of Pine; four grandsons, Hunter Temples, Logan Temples, Tristan Bourgeois and Grant Bourgeois; sister and brother-in-law, Theresa and Jerry McKenzie of Pine; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Joyce Gerald of Pine; and also numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Houston Temples; parents, Talmage Gerald and Fannie Thomas Gerald; and mother-in-law, Katie Beall Temples.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home on Saturday, Dec. 8, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue Sunday at Pine Missionary Baptist Church from noon until 2 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the church at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, with Bro. Adam Luper and Bro. David Barber officiating. Burial will follow in the New Gerald Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Temples, Logan Temples, Tristan Bourgeois, Derrick McKenzie, Bladen Thomas and Levi Carter. Honorary pallbearers will be Grant Bourgeois, Elton Miley and George Ladner.
