Edna Jones

Edna Parham Jones, 92, a resident of the Enon community, died Tuesday morning July 17, 2018, at her home.
She was a former office worker at the Michoud Assembly Facility. Edna was a member of Enon Baptist Church. She loved listening to the taped church services even after the time she became unable to attend. She enjoyed quilting for over 40 years and even though she took up the hobby at nearly 80 years old; she was also a very good artist with many paintings and drawings. Earlier in life, Edna loved camping and spending time on the Bogue Chitto River.
She is survived by: two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Jones Hunt and Levrett Hunt, and Patsy Jones Sandifer and Tom Sandifer, all of Enon; stepson, Roy Jones of New Orleans; grandchildren and spouses, Michael E. Hunt, Phillip Wayne and Mary Hunt, Rebecca Gayle and Gavin Moon, Deborah P. and Chris Ard, David R. Hunt, Ronald Keith Sandifer and Kelley Sandifer; sister, Edith Hopkins of Georgia; and also numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Jones; daughter, Judith Smith; grandson, Trey Smith; parents, Curtis Parham and Wilma Eady Parham; sisters, Ruby Ard and Nancy Wilson; and brothers, Elliot Parham and Everett Parham.
Visitation will be at Enon Baptist Church on Friday, July 20, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the church at 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Chris Wheeler and the Rev. Leon Hickman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Hunt, Michael Hunt, David Hunt, Robert Orr, Levrett Hunt and Cody Wilson.
