Alvin A. Pennington, 72, of Bush, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital.

Alvin was born in New Orleans. He was retired from the St. Tammany Parish School Board.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Alvin and Dorothy Pennington; and his sister, Janet Pennington.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Pennington; and three sons, Shawn Pennington and his wife, Laura Pennington, Earon Pennington and his fiancé, Jane Poiroux, and Dean Pennington and his wife, Michelle; one daughter, Theresa Pennington and her fiancé, Paulie Cabana; five grandchildren, Deegan Pennington, Michael Hanna and wife, Kayla Hanna, Travis Hanna, and William Hanna; and five great-grandchildren, Everett Whitney-Hanna, Michael Hanna, Travis Hanna, Weldon Hanna and Skylar Hanna.

Visitation will be in the chapel at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa on Friday, July 6, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Crawford Cemetery in Bush. The Rev. Father Daniel Brouillette will officiate.
