Brenda Nell Hutchinson Magee was born April 26, 1955, to the late Julia C. Hutchinson and Neil Hutchinson. Brenda was the sixth child to be born to this union.

Brenda was reared up at Thirkield United Methodist Church. She was a very active member. She later joined New Hope under the leadership of Elder Lenward Thompson. She attended Bogalusa City Schools.

Brenda departed her life on June 14, 2018, at her residence.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Kevin Hutchinson, Eldridge Magee, Cardell Magee and Trenice Harry (Chamary), all of Bogalusa; her grandchildren, Kevin Hutchinson, Kynan Hutchinson, Kristiana Hutchinson, Damion Magee, Marion Magee, Tyler Magee, Jaden Harry, Victoria Harry, Charmoree Harry, Amya Harry, Demetri, Takeayta, Anyla Reese, and Jamorion Reese; her siblings, Wilda Peters, Erenstine Hutchinson, Marsha Hutchinson and Fred Daniels, all of Bogalusa; a special friend, Mark Conerly; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Julia Hutchinson; her father, Neil Hutchinson; her son, Corneilus Magee; her brother, Newson Carson; and her sister, Annie Lee.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 22, at New Hope Church of Christ Holiness in Bogalusa, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. at the church, with Elder Lenward Thompson, pastor, officiating.
