George Harvey

George Robert Harvey, born Sept. 16, 1932 went home on May 8, 2018 while at Resthaven Living Center at the age of 85. George was retired from Illinois Central Gulf Railroad and spent many years traveling, enjoying bowling, visiting family and growing his garden. He was also a US Navy Veteran.
He loved his LSU football and just about any other sport he could watch on TV. He spent many hours with his beloved little dog “Bootsie.”
He leaves behind two daughters, Cathy Daudey and Sheila Harvey by his wife Frances Lucius Harvey and beloved children of his heart, Tammy Kennedy Greene (Rick), Ricky Kennedy and Deidre Kennedy Cassanova (Scot). Eleven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. His special friends Wayne Oxner, Steve Freeman and his special buddy Willis Crain.
He was survived by his first wife Frances Lucius Harvey.
He is preceded in death by his parents Eliza Dearman Harvey and Alfred Huckabee Harvey, and the love of his life Barbara (Bobbie) Kennedy, his first born daughter Janet Elaine Harvey.
He was the youngest of all the siblings born to Eliza and Alfred and the last to be greeted at Heavens Gate.
There will be a celebration of life on Saturday May 12, 2018 at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home in Bogalusa, La. with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. until time for services at 11:30 a.m.
