Pine captures all 3 games at L.W. Higgins Tournament

Pine captured all three games in the L.W. Higgins tournament that took place Thursday and Saturday.
The Raiders were victorious in the opener, 14-1, over Haynes Academy on Thursday after scoring seven runs in the first inning to lead 7-1 after one.
Kaden Fersch recorded three hits and missed hitting for the cycle by just a homer. Fersch drove in three runs and scored two runs.
Dakota Brooks homered, drove in two runs and tallied three runs.
Four more players had one hit each, including Kendall Sheridan, Cody Sheridan, Chase Cooper and Dallen Magee.
Kendall Sheridan scored a run. Coby Sheridan posted two runs. Cooper had two RBIs and Magee drove in two runs and scored a run.
Will Adams, Luke Fonda and Karson Voth posted a run each. Ian Turner drove in three runs and tallied one. Blaine Polk had an RBI and a run scored.
Winning pitcher Ethan Knight went 2-2/3 innings, allowing one unearned run on three hits with eight strikeouts and a walk.
On Saturday, Pine played a pair of games and won both after posting 27 runs on 38 hits for the two games combined.
The first was a 10-7 victory over Metairie Park Country Day.
Pine pounded out 18 hits.
Kendall Sheridan, Cooper and Logan Leger all posted three hits.
Sheridan homered, drove in three runs and scored two runs. Cooper posted two RBIs and scored a run. Leger doubled, scored two runs and drove in one.
Fersch, Knight, Coby Sheridan and Brooks all had two hits.
Fersch drove in a run and scored a pair of runs. Knight had an RBI. Sheridan tallied an RBI and a run and Brooks doubled and had two runs scored.
Fonda singled and drove in a run.
Pine trailed 6-4 after two and closed the gap to one through three, before taking an 8-7 lead after four. The Raiders added a run each in the sixth and seventh for the 10-7 win.
The second game Saturday was 17-6 victory over L.W. Higgins in six innings.
Pine scored six runs in the sixth inning after entering the frame up 11-6.
Coby Sheridan had a huge day at the plate.
Sheridan went 4-for-4 with eight RBIs and three runs scored. Sheridan missed the cycle by just a home run.
Fersch recorded four-hits and scored four runs.
Turner had a 3-for-3 game with an RBI and a run scored.
Fonda, Cooper and Leger posted two hits each. Fonda tallied two runs. Cooper drove in a run. Leger had a run and an RBI.
Kendall Sheridan, Knight and Magee each had a hit.
Sheridan scored a run. Knight and Magee tallied a run and drove one home each.
Polk scored a run in the victory.
