Lady Jackets win tournament opener

Mt. Hermon’s Sikoya Jackson scored 20 points Tuesday night, helping the Lady Jackets defeat Maurepas, 50-37, in the teams’ opener of the District 7-B Tournament at Runnels.
Kalei Hughes posted 14 points for the Lady Jackets.
Patera Williams tallied seven while Destiny Lewis recorded four points, Adriana Tate had three and Ashiriah Williams added two in the victory.
Mt. Hermon continued in the tournament and played Holden yesterday. That game was not completed by press time.
