Judy Farmer

Judy Thomas Farmer of Angie entered her eternal home Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, after a lengthy illness.
She was a long-time employee of Winn-Dixie in Bogalusa, where she was a general merchandise manager. She was an active member of Highland Baptist Church, where she taught children’s Sunday School, sang in the adult choir, and served on numerous committees. She was a member and past Worthy Matron of the Easter Star, and for many years remained active in the Bogalusa Little League Association, where she coached children of all ages. She also volunteered as a den mother for local Cub Scouts.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Ronald W. Farmer of Angie. She is also survived by sons, Lane Farmer (Teya) of Angie, and Glenn “Chip” Guillot (Renae) of Baton Rouge; daughters, Chanel Sandifer of Angie and Rhonda Musser (Gene) of Denham Springs; grandchildren, Macon Sandifer of Angie, Matthew Musser of Watson, Summer Babin (Chuck) and Danielle Wallace (Adam) of Denham Springs; as well as numerous great-grandchildren; a brother, Michael Thomas (LaDonna); sisters, Faye Miller and Kay Thomas (Mike); and a sister-in-law, Gayla Farmer Strickland, all of Bogalusa; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her precious son, Danny Kuhn; her parents, Willie J. and Lexie Seal Thomas; a brother, Ronald Thomas; father and mother-in-law, Bennie and Evelyn Farmer; and brothers-in-law, Larry Miller and Bennie Glynn Farmer.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 20, from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home. There will be an Eastern Star service at 1 p.m. The Rev. Charles Rogers and the Rev. Chad Jenkins will officiate.
Interment will follow at Seal Cemetery in Varnado. Pallbearers will be Mike Rayburn, Thomas Strickland, Austin Thomas, Drew Wagner and David Wagner.
