The sweet angel of Mercy moved in quietly on Nov. 13, 2017, and bore the spirit of Jesse Earl Ladner at University Hospital in New Orleans. He was born March 31, 1957, in Columbia, Miss.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Nov. 18, from 10 a.m. until noon, followed by the funeral service at noon at Allen Temple Church of God in Christ United, located at 19506 Torrence Drive in Bogalusa, with Bishop Robert Williams, pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in the Bogalusa Cemetery.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his wife and life long best friend of 40 years, Juanita “Pat” Ladner; one son, Travis Ladner (Tracey); and one grandson, Travis Ladner Jr.; seven sisters, Gloria Ladner, Lovie Torrega (Ronald) Aline Siles, Hazel Harrington, Christine Graves (Ralph), Helen Riley, of Covington, Rosie Lee McGowen; four brothers, Clarence Harris, Ladelle Ladner, M. L. Ladner, and Tommy L. Silas; two sisters-in-law, Pallie Dorsey of Atlanta, Ga., and Marcella Baines (Barry) of Tyler, Texas; four brothers-in-law, James Dorsey Jr. of New Orleans, Allen Dee Magee (Treneatla) of Houston, Texas, Felton Magee (Ruth) of Houma, and Alfonso Magee (Debra of Bogalusa; special aunt, Bonnie J. Robinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence (Myrtis) Harris; two brothers, Laverne Ladner and Christopher Harris; his mother-in-law, Jeanette Magee Rogers (Samuel); and father-in-law, Charlie Richard Jr.
