Candidates’ forum set

A consortium of Northshore Republican organizations (Washington and St. Tammany) will hold a candidate forum this Sunday, Sept. 10, and the public is invited.
Tickets are $20 per person for the 3-5 p.m., event to be held at Benedict’s Plantation, located at 1144 N. Causeway Blvd. in Mandeville.
Candidates for state treasurer, state representative (District 77), 22nd Judicial District judge (Divisions E and H), and St. Tammany Parish Council (District 2) are expected to appear. WWL TV Northshore Bureau Chief Ashley Rodrigue will moderate the panel.
Checks made payable to the “Northshore Republican Men’s Club” (NRMC) can be mailed to 60 Elizabeth Ct., Mandeville, 70448, or brought to the event. For more information, contact Linda Begue at 985-845-8067.
In addition to the NRMC, the event is being co-sponsored by the Republican Parish Executive Committees of Washington and St. Tammany Parishes, Mandeville Republican Woman, Republican Professional Women of St. Tammany, Bayou Lacombe Republican Women, Republican Women of Franklinton, the Slidell Republican Women’s Club, and Washington Parish Republican Women.
Candidates who have confirmed their attendance include:
- State Treasurer — Terry Hughes
- State Representative, District 77 — Rob Maness, Casey Revere and Mark Wright.
- 22nd Judicial District Court, Division E — Jay Adair and William Burris.
- 22nd Judicial District Court, Division H — Reggie Laurent and Alan Zaunbrecher.
