James Eugene Partman Sr. departed this life on Friday, Aug. 25, 2017. He was born March 14, 1951, to the late Hubert Partman and Eula Partman of Warnerton.

Bro. James E. Partman Sr. married June Barzon on June 26, 1982, and to this union two children were born, James E. “Sunny” Partman Jr., and Jamie Partman.

Rev. James E. Partman pastored New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Franklinton, for about two years when his health began to fail. (The previous pastor was the Rev. Donald Smooth).

Bro. Partman was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Hubert and Eulan Partman; one sister, Carrie Mae Hoskins; two brothers, Hezekiah “Rich” Partman and Johnnie D. “John “Partman; one grandson, Recardo D. “Peanut” McGhee Jr.

Bro. James E. Partman leaves to cherish his life memories, his loving wife of 35 years, June Partman; four daughters, Deborah George, Nicole George, Alana (Chris) Almond, and Jamie (Eric) Lampton Sr.; one son, James E. (Felicia) Partman Jr.; 15 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild; five sisters, Dorothy Bickham, Ida Lee Sibley, Josephine (James) Warren Sr., Corrine (Billy) Watson, all of Franklinton, and Charlene (Royal) Brock of Biloxi, Miss.; two brothers, Alfred “A.C.” (Brenda) Partman Sr., and Nathaniel (Mary) Partman of Franklinton; one sister-in-law, Shirley Partman; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 2, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., with the funeral services following at 10 a.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton, with the Rev. James Bickham officiating.
