Preparations are over, the teams are ready and tonight’s games count for MAIS football teams.

The regular season is here.

Tonight, a pair of Washington Parish schools open up their season. Fans of both teams won’t have to travel far, as Ben’s Ford Christian School and Bowling Green School are both at home for the first two weeks of the regular season.

Ben’s Ford starts the 2017 campaign at 7 p.m. by hosting the New Orleans Home School Saints. On the west side of the parish, Bowling Green School is at home, taking on Park Place Christian Academy. Kickoff for both contests begins at 7 p.m.

The LHSAA schools are having their scrimmages this week. Franklinton and Varnado played in separate scrimmages yesterday and Bogalusa and Pine are competing in separate scrimmages tonight. Both are at home.

Bogalusa plays Bonnabel and Pine is hosting Jewel Sumner.
