Pine High School’s football program is raising money for a new speaker system and the Raiders are holding a “Push-a-Thon” tomorrow morning at 10.
Pine coach Bradley Seal said the idea came from Brother David Easterling, who is a preacher at Pine First Baptist Church.
“It’s something good for the community to help out with,” Seal said. “I think all of the churches in the community are excited about it.”
Seal said about three preachers along with Pine players are participating in the event, which is in its first year.
The Push-a-Thon is being held at Pine’s football stadium. Fans can sponsor preachers and players, based on how many push-ups they can do in three minutes.
