Jimmie Lucinda Carona, born May, 20, 1949, went home to be with the Lord on July 14, 2017. She was a resident of Sun, and was of the Baptist faith.

She leaves behind two daughters, Kathy Haley and her husband Trampas of Rio, and Angela DeNicolo and her husband Mark of South Windsor, Conn.; a brother, Peter “Buddy” Carona III of Sun; a sister, Jane Carona Seals of Tylertown, Miss.; five grandchildren, Gregory Davis, Christopher Davis, Chase Davis, Andrew DeNicolo and Ava DeNicolo; her companion, Evan Elamri; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 20, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home beginning at 11 a.m., until the service time at 1 p.m. The Rev. Richard Magee will officiate the services and the interment will follow in the Crossroads Pentecostal Church Cemetery, located in the Crossroads, Miss., community.

In lieu of flowers, the family makes a request to make donations to the American Cancer Society.
