Davon Magee

Davon Darnell Magee, 31, was born Feb. 1, 1986, to Linda Darnell Magee and Lattimore Magee. He was called home to be with the Lord on July 8, 2017.
He was united with House of Prayer and Life Pentecostal church under the leadership of Pastor Katherine Hart. Davon attended Tylertown High School and was a member of the Class of 2005. Davon worked at Sanderson Farms for approximately eight years and then decided to switch to Walmart Distribution Center in Robert, where he worked as an order filler.
Davon was a very humble young man who loved the Lord and loved fellowshipping with other people. Davon was a dedicated to his family, loved to travel and go on cruises with them.
Davon was married to his loving wife Tyra Tate and to the union was born three loving daughters, Jayla Nicole Tate, Jade Latrice Magee and Taelor Grace Magee. He was blessed with a loving family that will miss him dearly everyday.
His family members include siblings, Patrick Magee of Houston, Texas, and Beverly Magee of Tylerton, Miss., Lawanika Magee of Houston, and Pamela Magee of Houston; mother-in-law, Toni Graves of Franklinton; fathers-in-law, Antoine Graves Sr. of Franklinton, and Louis Patrick Harris of Varnado; sisters-in-law, Toya Tate and Latoya Watson of Franklinton; and brothers-in-law, Travon Harris, Antonio Graves and Antoine Graves Sr. of Franklinton.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. this Saturday, July 15, at the Sweet Home Church of Christ Holiness, located at 2200 Greenlaw Ave. in Franklinton. The host pastor is Pastor Washington Drake and the officiating pastor will be Pastor Antoine Graves Sr., of Outreach Full Gospel Baptist Church.
