William Kahl

William “Clinton” Kahl born January 5, 1920 passed away peacefully on June 14, 2017 at his residence at the age of 97. He was an Engineer for Exxon Petroleum, served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard, an Alumnus of Louisiana State University, and member of the V.F.W. in Baton Rouge, LA. Clinton was a native of Bush, LA, and a member of Hebron Baptist Church.

He leaves behind three brothers, Herbert Sherwood Kahl (Mary “Eunice”), Charles Herman Kahl (Jane “Jeannie”), and James Sherman Kahl (Maxine) all of Bush, LA., two sisters, Clara Mae Rushing (J.W. Rushing) of Carriere, MS., and Emily Annette Richardson of Bush, LA., he had a large extended family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gay Dennison Kahl and second wife, Oleta Cowart Kahl, as well as two brothers, Delos Floyd Kahl and Robert Harold Kahl.

Visitation will be held on Monday June 19, 2017 at Hebron Baptist Church in Bush, LA. at 9:00 A.M. followed by a service to celebrate his life at 12 noon. The Rev. Michael Thomas will officiate the services with the interment to follow in the Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.

Military Honors will be provided by the Magic City American Legion Post #24.
