Franklinton’s 4×200 relay team runs 9th in Class 4A at state meet

Franklinton’s 4×200 relay team came in ninth place at the Class 4A state track meet that took place Saturday at LSU’s Bernie Moore Stadium.
The team of Tahj Magee, Markus Conerly, Rakerian Conerly and Kian Conerly ran the 800 meters in 1 minute, 32 seconds.
Edna Karr was the state champion after running in 1:27.28. LaGrange was second at 1:27.72 and Carencro’s 1:28 was good for third.
First through fifth place were separated by only 1.46 seconds.
