Keep health in mind this spring

It’s spring, a time when a lot of people tend to think about renewal, health, and nutrition. The Daily News believes that’s a good thing because it’s good to do all we can for our health.

We suggest that you check out what the YMCA has to offer, as well as the other fitness centers in Washington Parish. Or, if you’re in reasonably good shape, start an exercise regimen of your own. You can start by simply taking a walk around your neighborhood. And if you pick up some litter along the way, you’ll get some bending and maybe even some stretching in your workout, as well as a cleaner neighborhood.

It’s an especially good thing because the Bogalusa Farmers’ Market is open for business every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Goodyear Park. The market offers the freshest produce, which is deemed the best source of nutrition, and an assortment of other goodies.

We believe that we owe it to our children and grandchildren to stay in the best shape possible. We are working on that, before we get too old to do anything about it. We invite you to join us.
