Franklinton wins against Loranger
Franklinton’s Demons had a balanced attack in a 7-2 victory over Loranger in a District 8-4A contest at home Tuesday.
Pitcher Collin Dominguez threw a complete game five-hitter, allowing no earned runs with seven strikeouts and three walks. At the plate, he had two hits and two RBIs. Dominguez was one of four Demons with multiple hits.
Jamarian Crain led the way with three hits and three runs. Trent Varnado went 2-for-3 with a triple and two runs. J.P. Magee posted two hits and two RBIs.
Jared Jenkins had a hit and an RBI. J.J. Jackson posted a hit and two runs. Ty McGhee tallied a hit in the victory.

Pine victorious over Jewel Sumner
Pine’s Trey Cooper had three hits and five RBIs, as the Raiders defeated Jewel Sumner, 16-9, in a road game that took place Tuesday.
Cooper missed hitting for the cycle by only a single. He doubled, tripled and hit a home run. The home run was a grand slam.
Ian Turner also had a big day, going 3-for-5 with three RBIs and a run.
Ethan Knight posted two hits, including a double and a run.
Tate Roach, Chris Mayeaux, Dakota Brooks, Kaden Fersch and Gabe Guttuso all had one hit. Roach scored two runs and drove in one. Mayeaux scored a run. Brooks doubled and had an RBI and a run. Fersch and Guttuso each scored a run. Guttuso also doubled.
Kendall Sheridan and Luke Fonda scored two runs each while Dillon Morris tallied two runs and had an RBI, and Jarwin Jordan scored a run.

Varnado defeats Pine
Varnado’s Jaylan Jefferson had three hits and four RBIs, helping the Wildcats defeat Pine, 10-4, Monday at Franklinton High School.
Jefferson also tripled in the victory.
Errol Varnado, Armontee Kemp and Xavier Moses all had three hits for the Wildcats.
Varnado and Kemp scored three runs each while Moses drove in three.
Travon Stokes scored runs while Jaccorious Bickham and Ja’Roderick Roberson scored a run each and Trace Lozier posted an RBI.
Jefferson threw a complete game, allowing one earned run on four hits with eight strikeouts and five walks.
Pine had four hits — one each by Tate Roach, Luke Fonda, Trey Cooper and Kaden Fersch. Roach and Fersch scored a run each, Cooper doubled and Fonda drove in a run.
Dillon Morris scored a run and Rion Terrell scored a run and had an RBI.
Pine committed six errors that led to four unearned runs.
