Betty Joyce Flynn born Aug. 12, 1939 went home to be with The Lord on April 3, 2017 at the age of 77.
She was a nurse at the Rest Haven Nursing Home for 24 years of service and was also a member of Main Street Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Merrel Flynn of Bogalusa, two sons, Tommy Flynn and Charmaine and Terry (Suzanne) Flynn all of Bogalusa, one brother, H.B. (Elizabeth Ann) Stillwell of Bogalusa, nieces, Dana Duncan and Kellie Hebert both of Bogalusa, six grandchildren,Gina(Christopher) Crawford, Dustin Flynn, Candice Flynn, Stephen (Sarah)  DeCarlo, six great-grandchildren, Bentley Crawford, Levi Crawford, Liza Jane Crawford, Tyler Voss, Parker DeCarlo and Aiden DeCarlo and numerous other nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman Buford and Airdula Penton Stillwell and a grandson, Cory Flynn.
Visitation were held on Wednesday April, 5, 2017 at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home beginning at 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and resumed after 8 a.m. Thursday until service time at 11 a.m. Services were conducted by Rev. Patrick Magee with the interment to follow in the Ponemah Cemetery.
