Betty Flynn, born Aug. 12, 1939, went home to be with the Lord on April 3, 2017, at the age of 78.

She was a nurse at the Resthaven Nursing Home for 24 years of service and was also a member of Main Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Merrel Flynn of Bogalusa; two sons, Tommy and Charmaine Flynn and Terry (Suzanne) Flynn, all of Bogalusa; one brother, H.B. (Elizabeth Ann) Stillwell of Bogalusa; nieces, Dana Duncan and Kellie Hebert, both of Bogalusa; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous other nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman Buford and Arudla Penton Stillwell.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 5, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home beginning at 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., and will resume after 8 a.m. Thursday until service time at 11 a.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Patrick Magee with the interment to follow in the Ponemah Cemetery.
