Nancy Tullos

Nancy Genell Pierce Tullos, 80, born on Dec. 11, 1936 in Varnado, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017 at her home in Bogalusa. She was a lifelong member of Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church, and retired from the Bogalusa School System.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Tullos Stringfield (David III), and Susan Tullos Seal (George); a son, John David Tullos (Carla); a sister, Dianne Smith; three brothers, Welton Pierce, Raymond Pierce, and Ted Pierce; six grandchildren, Christina Seal, Samantha Seal, Joseph Tullos, Austin Tullos, Joshua Stringfield and Ginny Wilburn; and three great-grandchildren, Serenity Tullos, Cruz Serigne II, and Sean Stringfield.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Leroy Tullos; her parents, Dan David Pierce and Letha Edith McNeese Pierce; a brother, Rodney Pierce; and a granddaughter, Melissa Stringfield.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 15, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, March 16, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. with Bro. Doyle Ball and Bro. Dwayne Ball officiating. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
