Ben’s Ford victorious over Central Private: McClelland, Byrd have huge nights in win for Eagles

Ben’s Ford Christian School was victorious over Central Private School, 61-34, in a District 5AAA contest that took place at home Thursday.

C.J. McClelland and Cameron Byrd had huge nights for Ben’s Ford.

McClelland turned in a solid double-double. He finished with 16 points and 20 rebounds, to go with three assists and a steal.

Byrd led the team in scoring with 21 points. He also grabbed three rebounds, made three steals and blocked a shot.

Jeremiah Slocum had a solid night as well, scoring 14 points and collecting two boards, five assists and five steals.

Kameron Underwood put up six points, four rebounds and a steal.

Tyler Winstead had two points, a rebound, two assists, a steal and he blocked a shot.

Kevin Simmons posted two points, a board and a steal while Seth Schilling grabbed three boards and made a steal. Gage Tervalon had a rebound and a steal while Tucker Keating had three steals in the victory.

Ben’s Ford played after yesterday’s press time and is back in action tomorrow on the road against Centreville Academy.
