Bogalusa native Christie Major Hall, of Slidell, died unexpectedly on Nov. 27, 2016, following a brief illness. A long-time resident of St. Tammany Parish, she was 62 years old.

She held a computer science degree from Tulane University, and had worked for Boeing with the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, and afterward was a partner in a health benefits service firm that she helped establish.

A native of Bogalusa, she was preceded in death by her parents, Lou Major Sr. and Peg Major of Bogalusa.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Hall of Slidell; two step-sons, Adam Hall (Katie) of Mandeville and Wesley Hall (Lien) of Mandeville, and three step-grandchildren.

She is also survived by three brothers: Lou Major Jr. (Diana) of Slidell, Steven Major (Renee) of Cleveland, Ga., and Jason Major (Deanna) of Singapore; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

No funeral service is planned.
