Oree H. Galloway, born July 3, 1923, went home to be with the Lord on July 26, 2016. She was a resident of Bogalusa and a member of Main Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Marvin Galloway of Bogalusa; a daughter, Gwendolyn Bartelo of Slidell; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mary Jane Hunt; her husband, George W. Galloway; five brothers, O.V. Hunt, Olen Hunt, Odis Hunt, James Hunt and Wilson Hunt; three sisters, Oretha Riley, Irma Kinchen and Yvonne Clark; and a sister-in-law, Louise Ann Galloway.

Visitation and funeral will be held on Saturday, July 30, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home beginning at 10 a.m. until the service time at 1 p.m. The Rev. Billy Galloway will officiate the services and will be assisted by the Rev. Tommy Varnado. The interment will be in the Pounds Cemetery.
