Mary Louise Smith, 74, passed away June 1, 2016, at Riverside Medical Center. She was a resident of Franklinton.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Jay Smith Jr. of Houston, Texas, and Jimmy Anthony Smith of San Diego, Calif.; one daughter, Donna Marie Smith Norton of Franklinton; brothers, Henry Young of Varnado and Charles Young of Gulfport, Miss.; sisters, Sarah Kelley of Warnerton and Delona Young of Bogalusa; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jay Smith Sr.; parents, Henry and Lydia Martin Young; half brother, John D. Martin and Robert Alfred Young; and sister, Ruby Nell Blackburn.

Visitation will be in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Saturday, June 4, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., and it will continue on Sunday from 10 a.m. until time for the service in the chapel at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Hillview Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Wesley Quave will officiate.
