Christine Lightell

It is with great sadness that our family is laying our beloved sister, Christine “Blackie” Lightell to rest.

Blackie was preceded in rest by her husband, Eirvin Lightell Jr., who loved her unconditionally and faithfully; her parents, Jeanette Holden and Donald Holden; and one sister-in-law, Cheryl Rocque.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her siblings and their spouses, Donna Davis (Barry Davis), Melissa Adams, Karen Holden Vine (Lawrence Newton), Malinda Sylvas (Robin Sylvas); step-siblings, Shelia Earnest (Willie Thomas), Spencer Rocque, and Jerome Rocque; her mother-in-law, Leona Lightell; sisters-in-law, Edith McKnight and Shelia May (Reginald); brothers-in-law, Leonard Lightell and Bruce Lightell; and a host of other relatives and special friends.

Because of Blackie’s special relationship with her sister, Karen, she considered Darrian, Meisha, Darren Jr., Amanda, Blaise, and Kayla her children and Kamarie Jackson her granddaughter.

The family would like to give special thanks to cousin Michelle Duplessis Thomas and brother-in-law Leonard Lightell for their special love and care for Blackie and Eirvin. Blackie was very loved by us and will never be forgotten

She and Eirvin will both live on in our hearts as they rest together with our Lord and Savior. Special thanks to Crain and Sons Funeral Home for all of the love you have shown this family.
