Chief Deputy Mike Haley of the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office said Thursday morning that a suspect escaped custody in Bogalusa, but was later re-captured.

Haley said Kristopher Allen White, 28, escaped around 11 a.m., but was re-captured by 11:45 a.m.

A dog team from Rayburn Correctional Center assisted in the capture, and a perimeter was set up in the area between Mississippi Avenue and Carolina Avenue in Bogalusa.
