Kathy Oubre, 61, of Westlake, passed away on Monday, Nov. 16, 2015.
She worked at the city of Westlake for seven years as a receptionist. She also worked for a number of years in the banking industry. Some of her hobbies included fishing, outdoor sports, gardening, along with loving her grandbabies.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Kelly Langley and husband Ernie of Westlake; her parents, Herschel and Eddie Nel Merritt of Bogalusa; her brothers, Terry Williams and wife Becky of Dallas, Texas, and Michael Merritt; along with her sister, Carol Ingram and husband Chris of Baton Rouge. She also leaves behind her three precious grandchildren, Kaleigh, Kade, and Kaycie Langley, who she loved dearly.
She is preceded in death by her father, Francis Williams.
Services will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake on Thursday, Nov. 19, at 10 a.m. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 18, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and will resume on Thursday at 8 a.m. until the time of the service at 10 a.m., with Father Albert Borel officiating. A rosary will be held on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake.
