Susie Lanita Pounds, 82, born March 2, 1933, went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 28, 2015.  She was a long time resident of Bogalusa and a member of the United Faith Pentecostal Church.

She is survived by three sons, Edgar Pounds and his wife Dewanna, Dewey Pounds and his wife Joyce and Joseph T. Pounds and his wife Andrea; two daughters, Susan E. Miller and her husband David, and Kathleen B. Ballard and her husband James; a brother, Ronald “Rod” Talley and his wife Telitha; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Susie Talley; her husband, Walter R. Pounds; and a sister.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 30, starting at 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Services will be Thursday Oct. 1, at 3 p.m. at the United Faith Pentecostal Church, located on Marshall Richardson Road. The Rev. Charles Warren will conduct the services and will be assisted by the Rev. Ricky Marcelli, the Rev. Randy Magee, and the Rev. Terry Tucker. The interment will follow in the Pounds-Poole Cemetery.

The pallbearers will be Ben Pounds, Michael Wilkerson, Stephian Ballard, Kyle Ballard, Shane Marcelli and Clint Chatelain.
