Lee Blunch Wilson Sr. was born on July 29, 1951, and transitioned from earth to glory on Tuesday, September 1, 2015.

He was the son of the late Armetha Hart and Willie J. Wilson; the father of Lee Wilson Jr. and Chiniton (Jacob) Walker; the brother of Willie J., Donell, Talmus (Betty), Ricky Ray, Michael (Anita), Juanita, Cynthia Wilson, Wanette Tyson, Tonia James and the late Colia and Shirley Ann Wilson. He also had two devoted friends, Barbara Weir and James “Dilly” Magee.

He was also survived by two grandchildren, James Pichon and Jalyn Walker; one great-grandchild, Jamaya Anthony; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by grandchild, Jayden Bourgeoise.

Visitation was Friday, Sept. 11, at Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home, 2120 Jackson Ave., in New Orleans, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

The funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 12, at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, located at 44030 Max Brumfield Road, in Franklinton, at 2 p.m. There will be additional visitation from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Martin Cemetery in Franklinton.
