Donald E. Mann

Donald E. Mann, 91, passed away Aug. 28, 2015, at Our Lady of The Angels Hospital in Bogalusa.

He was a resident of Bogalusa for the last 62 years. He was born July 10, 1924, in Shenandoah, Iowa. Mr. Mann was a graduate of Iowa State University. He retired form Crown Zellerbach after 30 years as a forester and pilot. Mr. Mann retired from the U.S. Air Force after 30 years active duty and reserve service. He was also a member of the Aircraft Owner Pilots Association.
He is survived by his wife, Miriam Mann of Bogalusa; and two sons, Dr. Stephen Mann of Palm Springs, Calif., and Terry S. Mann of Farmerville.

He is preceded in death by his first wife Elizabeth Jane Mann; and his parents, Claire F. and Opal Mann.

Visitation was in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Monday, Aug. 31, from 11 a.m. until time for service in the chapel at 2 p.m. Burial was in Hillview Memorial Gardens with military rites conducted by Magic City Post #24 of the American Legion. Rev. Greg Whaley officiated.
