Katie Mary Ready McNabb, 75, born on Oct. 22, 1939, in Darbin, Miss., died on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2015, at her residence in Bogalusa.

She is survived by one daughter, Sylvia Welch Paige of Bogalusa; two sons, Kenneth B. Welch of Mississippi and Charles G. Welch of Bogalusa; one brother, Bill (Vivian) Ready Sr. of Bogalusa; four grandchildren, Ann Manton, Julie Reneé Miller, Brandy Carroll and Katie Welch; numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack “J.W.” McNabb; mother and father, Eugene and Lillian Ready; one sister and brother-in-law, Malouise (Charles) Miller; two brothers and sister-in-law, Earl Edward “Pete” Ready and Jack (Mildred) Boyd; and one great-grandchild, Erica Nicole Carroll.

Visitation was held on Monday, Aug. 24, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation continued on Tuesday, Aug. 25, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, with Dr. Bill Ready Jr. and the Rev. Bobby Ready officiating. Interment followed in Garden Of Peace in Ponemah Cemetery.
