Emile Joseph “Joe” Mayor Jr., a resident of Bogalusa, age 57, born on June 19, 1958, in Bogalusa, died on Aug. 3, 2015, at Our Lady Of The Angels Hospital in Bogalusa.

He is survived by his wife, Lydia Joyce Lane Mayor; one daughter, Brittany Mayor Broadway (Bobby Earl Jr.); one son, Curtis Lane Mayor (Chelsea); his mother, Vera Jean Merritt Mayor; one grandson, Grant Matthew Broadway; and one sister, Melissa Mayor Mitchell.

He was preceded in death by his father, Emile Joseph Mayor Sr.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Visitation will continue at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Bob Adams, the Rev. Tommy Pittman and the Rev. Micah Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
