Mr. Alvin Henry Davis, who was born April 30, 1954, in Bogalusa to parents James and Dora Davis, passed away July 23, 2015, at Our Lady of the Angels at age 61.

Alvin was the fifth child of eight and a graduate of Central Memorial High School of Bogalusa.

He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Carmel Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor T. Bailey and attended until his health began to fail.

He is the father of three children LaTisha Davis, Kelly Dawson and LaTrone Davis. He has four grandchildren; three sisters, Geraldine D. Robinson, Delores Westbrook and Barbara Stewart, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Dora Davis; three brothers, Leslie Davis, Edward Thompson and Ronald Davis; son, LaTrone Davis; and two sisters, Ernestine Smith and Mary Alice Campbell.

Visitation is Friday, July 30, 2015, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Cook-Richmond Funeral Home chapel. Family hour is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Cook-Richmond Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Aug. 1 at 10 a.m. at the Cook-Richmond Funeral Home chapel.
