Jimmy Wayne Thomas, age 68, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2015, at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans.

He is survived by his wife, Nelwyn Misita Thomas; one daughter, Michelle (Percy) Knight; two sons, Ricky Wayne (Brenda Sue) Thomas and Kevin (Angela) Ballius; two sisters, Frances West and Christine Bumpas; two brothers, Billy Thomas and Harfan Kemp; grandchildren, Christian Wayne Thomas, Nicholas Vaughn, Tristan Adam Thomas, Andrew Chandler Vaughn, Branham Vaughn, Korbyn Vaughn, T. K. Ballius and Alisha Burch; and stepgrandchildren, Megan Sue Sellers, Kimberly Dawn Lambert, Payton Knight and Caroline Knight.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Word Thomas and Lillian Kemp Thomas; a sister, Mary Ann Perez; and a brother, Aaron Thomas.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at New Life United Pentecostal Church, 1600 Jefferson St., Bogalusa from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Wesley Quave officiating. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
