Dwight R. Morris was surrounded by family when he quietly departed this life on April 24, 2015, at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Early E. Morris and Nercile Morris-Holmes; grandparents, Louis and Rebecca Harry and Herman and Oudia Morris.
He leaves to cherish his memory a stepfather, Lemalie T. Holmes of Bogalusa; two sisters, Patricia (Claude) and Victoria (Charles) Banks, both of Angie; three brothers, Robert Morris Sr. of Bogalusa, Douglass (Evenlyn) Morris of Midwest City, Okla. and Oliver (Ivy) Morris of Angie; two godsisters, Elnora (Noney) Collins of Angie and Marilyn Collins Harry San Diego, Calif.; one godbrother, Raymond Mark of Angie; two stepsisters; one stepbrother; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends; and two very special friends, Tony Owens and Vern Lee; and although he didn’t have any kids he reared many kids, Jimmel Morris, Jarandra Keel of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Jakaiya Brown of Angie.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015, at Crain and Sons Funeral Home from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. followed by a family hour from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Wesley Ray United Methodist Church with the Rev. Terrence August, pastor officiating.
