Franklinton’s Demons capped off its second undefeated District 8-4A season in the last three years by downing Lakeshore, 8-1, at home Thursday.

The Demons jumped out to a 2-0 lead by putting up a pair of runs in third.

Lakeshore countered with one in the fourth, but the Demons responded in their half of the fourth.

Franklinton scored four times in the fourth to make it a 6-1 contest.

Franklinton ended any doubt of the outcome two innings later with two more runs in the sixth to reflect the 8-1 final.

Mack McElveen was strong on the mound. He threw a complete game two hitter. McElveen struck out five and walked just one. His record goes to 5-1.

The Demons were limited to just three hits.

Morgan Angelo had a solid night, going two for three with three runs batted in and three runs scored.

Josh Magee posted one hit and scored a pair of runs in the win.

Franklinton was 18-3 overall at press time. They finish the District 8-4A season with a 9-0 mark.
