Waldo Stewart

Mr. Waldo A.C. Stewart, age 95, passed away March 7, 2015, at Our Lady Of The Angels in Bogalusa. Mr. Stewart was a resident of Bogalusa. He was a Master Mason for more than 65 years and was Past Master of Zona Lodge No. 337. He was a veteran of WWII.

He is survived by his wife, Doris C. Stewart; four daughters, Maita S. Rester Knight, Karen S. (Charles) O’Berry, Lori S. (Randy) Morris and Melissa S. (Tony) Cooper; four sons, Horace A. Stewart, R. Larry Stewart, Darryl M. (Jessie) Stewart and C. Mark Stewart; 14 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Silas Leo (Paula) Stewart; two sisters-in-law, Mae H. Stewart and Geraldine P. Stewart; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Waldo was preceded in death by his parents, James Leslie and Pearl S. Stewart; two sisters, Edith S. Stewart McKenzie and Katherine Stewart; and six brothers, Dewitt Talmedge Stewart, George Truitt Stewart, Robert Wellington “Bill” Stewart, Sam A. Stewart, Elbert Lee Stewart and James Horace Stewart.

Visitation was held Sunday, March 8, 2015, from 6 until 9 p.m. at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel and continued on Monday, March 9, from 9 a.m. until the service time at 11 a.m. Interment followed at Emmanual Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, with Bro. Pete Underwood officiating.
