Oneal Wheat

Oneal Wheat, age 68, born on Nov. 9, 1946, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015, at his residence in Crossroads, Miss.

Oneal was a veteran and served in the United States Army. He was a member of New Life Pentecostal Church.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Knight Wheat of Crossroads, Miss.; one daughter, Katrina (Michael) Dixon of Sumrall, Miss.; two sons, T.J. (Christy) Lambert of Crossroads, Miss., and Brady (Nikki) Lee of Picayune, Miss.; one brother, Jerry Luke Wheat of Poplarville, Miss.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Wheat and Mabel Passman Wheat; sisters, Pearlie Miller, Rose Odom and Bet Duncan; and brothers, Walton E. Wheat, Billy Ray Wheat, Luther Wheat, and Joey Wheat.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at New Life Pentecostal Church, 1600 Jefferson St., Bogalusa, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Funeral services continued on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at New Life Pentecostal Church at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Wesley Quave officiating. Interment followed at Crossroads Pentecostal Church Cemetery, with military graveside services by Magic City American Legion Post No. 24.
