David Joseph “Horse Doctor” Sanderson, age 64, born on April 27, 1950, in Marrero, La., passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015, at his residence in Bogalusa.

He will be forever loved and never forgotten. He has left behind his wife of 32 years, Cathy C. Sanderson; three daughters, Jamie Swindler, Kelly Sanderson and Tina Adams; one son, Jeff Sanderson; one sister, Carolyn Perez; eight grandchildren, Jordan Cook, T. J. Swindler, Ava Swindler, Hannah Sanderson, Savannah Sanderson, Ashton Sanderson, Gentry Sanderson and Arabella Adams; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Monday, March 2, 2015, from noon until 2 p.m. The funeral services will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Travis L. Houston officiating. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens.

He was such a loved and well known man, we all will remember his smart mouth and remarks. “We Love You Daddy.”
